Default I surprised myself

After a fresh rain this last weekend I noticed a beautiful spider web and a rather large spider on my deck. I went out to take a couple quick shots of them and ended up with this instead. As the title says I surprised myself because I have never really tried taking this type of photo before. I know I should probably ask this in the critique section but if the center of the flower out of focus? Thanks for looking and enjoy!

Yes you should as this question in the Critique section, but without being able to see it in a larger size, I would say your focus is fine, lovely colors and the dew drops enhance the effect.
You might read a little on composition here on DPS, (rule of 3rds) will help you present a much more balanced photo. All in all a nice photo.
Thanks for sharing this
Michael.

Thank you Michael. I am already the composition forum as I type this. I am quickly realizing there is a lot more taking great photographs than meets the eye.

After going back through this set I decided to post this shot which I liked more from the beginning except for the dead flower on the leaf in the background. I also played around with the composition some. Let me know what you all think. Thanks for looking and enjoy!
