Default Practicing Portraiture at Holmes Lake in Lincoln, NE

I've always done a lot of automotive photography, but lately I've decided that I really want to do more portraiture. So today, I called up a few friends and asked if they'd like to "model" for me so I could practice a bit.

This is what I ended up with:

1.

2.

3.

4.

the full set is here: Portraiture & Strobist Practice - a set on Flickr

There are a few more I'd like to show, but I'll add them later.

Very nice set, and I must say the third one really caught my eye! Love the composition, lighting and background...really beautiful portrait!

#3 of the first post has beautiful skin tones and just the right soft focus on the background. I'm not a fan of her hair, but this is a VERY flattering image!

Nice Set, however your third capture is the best one (my opinion), Well composed and great lighting. Nice background. I love the expression on her face. You could even crop out more of the left side of the photo to give it more impact.
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.
