I know the feeling - every day on the train on the way home for the past week we have had incredible sunsets & i've missed them by the time I get home!

For me, it's either that I've forgotten to bring along my camera (rare), or that I can't get to a decent enough place to take the shot. That would have been a beautiful shot if you'd had your camera. Those colors are outstanding!

A little camera shake and some motion blur may be accepted as artistic when the image carries such beautiful colors and interesting composition.
I like it! And I admire the fact that you try to get the best pictures from any situation when you see a photo-opportunity. Contrary to your title, I experience the total opposite during the last weekend. I was inspired by your thread and I'll post some of the images. With your permision, I'd like to used your title as part of mine. Hope you don't mind. Thanks!

I had exactly the same this morning. Took the dog out at 6am and the sunrise was the deepest orange, kept muttering to myself "should have remembered the camera"....
This is still pretty cool though!
