Default raising cane.....

inspired by patrick in this thread, i decided to revisit my bamboo....

_MG_0112

_MG_0108

_MG_0122

_MG_0117

i was going dark on purpose because i wanted to highlight the cane and little else.....

post work includes color temperature adjustment, high pass layer, adding color to the cane, and some vignettes....

thanks

peeper

Man oh man, I love bamboo. Your photos just make me swoon! That particular shade of gold is just so beautiful. Very nicely done!

Bamboo in Mississippi huh.....some people grow it here too. It is beautiful stuff.....If it is dense enough, it would make a great background for portrait photography......Glad to hear that any of my posts might inspire someone to take another look....that was really the goal behind my "evolution of a shot" series. just before the one you referred to......So I am rather flattered as I am a true photography newbie....started about a year ago with a point and shoot and got dslr in February so I shoot and learn on the fly!

beautiful shapes and textures, I like how you kept the attention on the stalks by keeping it a little dark , all the shades of green is really pretty .. I like them all
