I really like the photo of the bridge and the farming from up high. All are great shots.

Four outstanding pictures Bill. Beautiful waterways and superbly patterned fields being harvested, William Wallace showing a good deal of emotion, and I like the costume shot.

they may take our lives.... but they'll never take our FREEDOM!!

Ive seen a few photos of that bridge Bill, but none as good as the one that you have captured. that is gorgeous and I love the reflection and the one of the field is also an excellent capture. Looks like a lot at the castle with all the characters too. This is a great set Bill. Very nice work.

Dave.

The bridge looks very serene and peaceful, with it's sturdy stonework and glimering reflections. Not quite the case in 1297. You know, Bill, I often try to imagine what it must be like to have daily reminders of being connected to the lives of ones ancestors. You must feel a part of that history. It is diffeent here. There are not many traces of our forebearers. I digress. Your photo will become a favorite on Flickr as will the second. I could look at that field with those rolled bales of hay and people tending the land every day and never grow weary of seeing it.

Thanks Dave, I must admit the bridge came out better than I thought it would

Thanks Linda, I suppose when you live here you just take all these places for granted.

Beautiful shots. I knew Mary Queen of Scots but had to go look up William Wallace. See, you not only learn about photography on DPS, but you learn history as well.
