There's a bird garden near where we live just north of Johannesburg proper where you can wander around with the kids and see all kinds of exotic birds. At one section they have a semi-open space where about a dozen parrots are allowed to roam free. I took this picture of a trio of them sitting on a branch. It was also a lesson on being mindful of your surroundings when you're taking pictures, because as I was trying to capture these birds, another rogue of a bird was stealthily sneaking up on me for a quick snap of its own!
