Exclamation Wolf, Mountain Sheep, and Caribou... Oh my!!!

I just got back from a trip to Denali, Alaska (Mount McKinley or Denali ("The Great One") in Alaska is the highest mountain peak in North America). Okay so now that I got the facts out of the way. This trip my have been 360 miles round trip, and a 16 hour drive in one day. But it was well worth it!! This is just the first set in the upload. I have never seen so much wildlife at one time before.

We followed this wolf for a while, and he gave me some great poses.

Wolf

These Mountain Sheep had come down the mountain side for a quick snack. So I got some quick shots in.

Mountain Sheep

These Caribou were far off in the valley, but I just couldn't resist the chance to get some photos in.

Caribou

Now I know what your thinking, you see the blood on him and think something happened. But don't worry, he just got rid of his velvet so hes still a little bloody.

Caribou

Wow, very exciting. Glad your long trip turned out well. Don't know much about wolves, but as reclusive as they are, that might be the trophy shot of the day. Looking forward to seeing more.

What an exciting place to visit. Denali is high on my list of places to go before I die. These are very nicely captured. Congrats for the oh-so cool trip and the photo ops too.
