Default reversed lens shots

I just read up on this technique last night and couldn't help but try it
for the time being its as close to macro as I will get..and I was really surprised at how well it works..would never have thought about it....

and on another note if anyone would suggest me in the right direction for a macro lens it would be much appreciated! My camera is the rebel xsi..and Im trying to look for something affordable (:


this fly was sooooo tiny I almost missed seeing it while taking pictures of the petals :P


I really liked the detail I managed to get in the drop for this one..hard enough to get the lens to focus in on it, but I was happy with the outcome..I must experiment more! (:
