Default Ice Plant

I don't have much experience with shooting closeups of flowers, but this ice plant in my wife's garden was just asking to have it's photo taken.

really well done Mike.. I really like the color and shape of the flower.. you could have fooled me.. would have thought you shot flowers before and have gotten really good at it, it's sharp and has clean details , great colors tones.. thanks for sharing it !

Indeed it was asking to have its picture taken. I used to have a similar ice plant in my yard, only yellow. These are pretty small, right? I think it takes a good eye to see this kind of shot when there is a mass of blooms. I like the bottom of the shot where the dark background separates the individual petals and you can see the play of light on them. Very nicely done!
