As accidental as it was I made one last night.
My first attempt at water drops. Didn't get what I was aiming for but I guess you never really do the first time out.

Don't worry, I don't take offense that there no comments.

I assume I need to do better!

I'll get back in there and try again.

Thanks all.

In the first photo I just used a red mixing bowl, I had a background set up to capture any "spillover" but after cropping the photo you cant see it.

The second photo, (purple photo) was the same red bowl but I just adjusted the hue in GIMP until I came up with a color I thought suited it. Then cropped it also.

I took about 45 photos and had about 4 real keepers. It was my first attempt and hope to do better next time. But thank you for your kind words.

Here's the tutorial that really helped me if your interested in learning "how to" do it.

Thanks much to all for the kind words!

Hey I decided to give another go tonight and actually came up with the desired effect I was going for the first time.
Close to the Crown
Unfortunatly, I didnt use the right dish because I thought it was going to be another experiment. But I was happy with my result.

back to the drawing board!
