Default Happy New Year, 5770!!!! :)

Dear DPS fellows:

Rosh Hashanah 2009 falls on Saturday and Sunday, September 19, and 20, 2009

Happy new Year: 5770!

I shot this apple covered with a thin layer of honey to symbolize my hopes for a "sweet" new year for everyone and everybody!

An apple a day...

An excellent image for bringing in a new year.

I got this from a Google search on proper greetings for Rosh Hashanah, so forgive me if it is incorrect:

L'shanah tovah tikatev v'taihatem.

For those of us that do not speak Hebrew, the website translates it as:

May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.

The traditional Hebrew greeting on Rosh Hashanah is שנה טובה shana tova [ʃaˈna toˈva] for "a good year", or shana tova umetukah for "a good and sweet year."
(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

May I wish those cellebrating the new year, a good and sweet year

Very cool Flavio, Nice and clearly focused. Love the sound of a honey coated apple too. Yum! Please have a blessed Rosh Hashanah!

Thanks, Jim.
That greeting is correct and widely used. A bit too much in the religious side for me, but works all the same.

Shana Tovah!
