Default Our Baby`s photoshoot

Hi everyone. As you know we had our baby last week so all I am doing is shooting pictures of her. I have no studio equipment so I am doing all my best to achieve good results.
If anyone could advice me as how to set up and any other help that can give I would be much thankful.

Hope you like these:

Thanks

All I am using is daylight coming in from a window as I have no studio lights and fancy stuff.
What would be the best direction to position the baby as to where the light is coming from?

Congrats! first of all... and i think you're doing a wonderful job and what a darling addition to your family.

Things you can improve on...
smoothing out those wrinkles in the blanket... You can also use a colorful attactive throw to lay her on... it will make her pop.

You can add bows to her (which i'm sure you are already) and add interest to her and the photo. Put her in different things ... bowls... baskets... on a bookshelf (seen it done looks dangerous)....

since you dont have any fancy stuff, use the sun and make up some reflectors with card board and foil or use a mirror. If you wanna play with lighting.

Other than that just keep shooting... and dont forget to enjoy having her!
