I hear folks talk about cloning for removing things from photos, but I'm not good at it and have no idea if it would work with so large a part of the photo.
On the other hand, I do love the photograph - even with the arm. The child has beautiful eyes!

It is a great photo...as for your question about the arm, my thought would be to replace the backround...keeping the child, ghost, and haybale. I suggest posting this in the post processing technique section and asking there. You should receive some good, detailed instructions there from people more experienced with it than myself.

Absolutely love the picture. It's a great shot of the child, ghost, hay bale and tree. I normally use cloning to edit out things in the background. The program I normally use doesn't have the option to cut out the object and insert a new background, but you might have one. It is a GREAT shot though. Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I love the halloween atmosphere.

I would use the point-to-point lasso and select the baby, bale, ghost, and tree. I would then feather the selection by 15-30 (you'll just have to play around and get a good one). Once you have that selection, I would add a layer of a picture off grass (out of focus, of course). Then I would just delete the selected area on the grass layer, so that the baby, ghost, bale, and tree are left.
I think the arm is much to prominent in the shot to be able to easily clone it out.
