Default HoW StrAnge - a rave in Pittsburgh

went to a rave this weekend (something i haven't done since i was in high school over a decade ago, been pretty out of that kind of scene since the mid 90s) and took some photos for the promoter. some cool ones came out. I basically walked around with my Nikon D40 and a monopod, 18-55mm lens, and most exposures on Shutter priority set around 1/3rd second to 3 seconds. ISO 400. Flash did fire on some. It was tough due to the motion and dim lighting, but here's a few of the cooler shots.

the entire photoset can be seen here

These are very cool. Numbers 2 and 4 are my favorites.

thanks guys! it was a fun time, and hopefully i can do a few more to help hone my skill. It's just tough, because there were inside and outside areas, inside it was 100degrees due to all the people dancing and sweating, and outside it was 60 degrees and cool, i everytime i'd go back inside, my lens would fog up. plus with the laser light shows and otherwise dark rooms, focusing was tough. practice will make perfect!

Creative and fun. Glow sticks work really well with long/longer shutter speeds, don't they? #4 is my favorite.
