Default evolution of a photograph #4

Here is the fourth installment "evolution of a photograph".

I took my camera along to my daughter's volleyball practice which is held in the gym of my church. As we walked to the door, we saw this scene in the courtyard. I sent my daughter on ahead as I surveyed the possibilities......note.....I saw myself so I made sure that I was in the frame...where's Waldo?

Coming in a little closer, there are several rose bushes in view, all of them beautiful.....think I'll go for the yellow...shape looks pretty good

DSC_1845

Not a bad shot on its own and I might have stopped right there....some of you will prefer this over my final version...this sooc

DSC_1835

I wanted to play a little further with a slightly different angle with what limited means and skill I have and try to islolate the rose against a black background.....If I were tremendously skilled, I could have kept the petals their original bright color but I admittedly do not know how to do that. But in any case of the "evolution of a photograph", you can shoot in a location as mundane as your church property and pull out a nice shot that leans more towards a studio style shot.

Wow! At first I wasn't sure where you were going with this until the rose! Nice work.

Opportunities exist everywhere Patrick and you continue to demonstate the benefits of stopping and looking and ignoring nothing, the result is great

Another good description into the progressive steps of a photographer and his photos. TFS
