Default Hearing things

I was walking through the cool dark forest section on Crawford lake trail .. beautiful silent spot .. just me and my footfalls .. Then I heard this weird clicking, grinding sound and thought on no, the camera's messed .. stopped and grabbed it from the strap and - silence .. put it down, took a step and click grind click click click .. oh no .. grabbed the camera again and silence??? Then I looked up for some reason ... this stretched my camera's range and low light shooting to the max, but I was so relieved to find the cause of my concern .. little bugger enjoying an acorn.... LOL ...

Terrific shot Ian .. love the story behind the shot... I am often tilting my head while hiking a trail.. stopping every few steps to listen.. so for me it means alot that you got the little bugger chompin away on an acorn, great job !

And you force all of us to look at our fancy cameras and expensive glass and ask the question.. is it me or the camera ? .. it's always us and you prove it all the time with your trusty SX10.

Moving target, dark light, a bit out of reach and you NAILED it anyway, very impressive !

Vin
