Default First attempt at moving water

Hi folks,

I took a walk through a woodland walk on Sunday which included a stretch alongside the Nantcarn stream in Cwmcarn. I have wanted to take photos of waterfalls and running water for a while now so thought this was the ideal opportunity to try it out. I didn't have a tripod so the shots were handheld. I had to raise the ISO on a few shots. I have yet to mater the technique, obviously, but I am pleased with my first bash at it. No DPP apart from the usual sharpening, contrast and adjusting the saturation a touch.

They're nothing special, but I can only get better, eh? :P

Cheers,
Matthew

Great effort Matthew - great set of photos! I went out in the Neath valley to take some loner-exposure photos of waterfalls and couldn't manage to not overexpose them. I'm very jealous ...

Very nice, Matthew! Particularly like the second one. Looks like the water is moving pretty fast over and through the maze of rocks. Nice work.
