Default Cross Country

This past weekend I attended my first ever cross country meet. Having never shot this type of sporting event I thought I would give it a go. It was a lot of fun and a good way to get some exercise since I had to fast walk from one location to another to capture the action. When it came to the boy’s race it was a bit tougher since they were going a bit faster. All in all a great time and look forward to doing it again. Here a 3 of the 500 plus shots I took.
EXIF:
Camera Nikon D90
Lens: Nikon 80-200mm f2.8
ISO 400
1/1500 at f2.8

XC2

XC3

XC1

All three shots were in about the same area of the course, almost the mid-point, and the push to get a better place was already on.

With looks on their faces like that, I have no idea why kids would ever run track and field....As a kid, track meant nothing but suffering.....great shots capturing their suffering too!
