Default 9-11 pictures

So better late than never.... The large pano has several hours of pp work in it, blending and the such. The fire departments have asked if I would donate some pictures to them. Before I passed them on, I thought I would get everyones opinion on these. So be as brutal as you want to be.

Station 6-1 Dont tell me you like them if you dont.

I like the third shot the best, because of the composition. The van parked to the left in the second is distracting and as a result the image lacks a center or a point the eye is naturally drawn towards. The first image is ok. I like the crane reaching all the way into the sky and the width of the picture with reference to the flags.

I agree that the third is the best in the set.
My only comment is that if you could have been higher up overlooking the scene you would see the triangle of flags more clearly but alas this is not always possible.

howland.david- Thank you for your comment. I felt the same way about the second one, but I thought I would put it up anyways. At this point I'm on the fence about the first one.

Carl911- Thank you for the comment. You read my mind. While I was taking the shots I was thinking how I need to be higher so this perspecticve would work better.

the third is a winner for me.....the first is a bit flat in that it lacks the 3 dimesional depth to it......I can see it having a positive effect for those who work there and there would be sentiments attached to it.....It is hard for the rest of us to see what is back there......You firemen would know what you are looking at I would include it for them.

I think the third one is the best also. It works best compositionally. I like the sky in the second, but the trees and telephone pole to the left take away more than the sky adds.

Thank you pjflan7, for your comments. I think your right, that they will get more out of it than other people.

Thank you fstopMike for your comment. I was feeling the same way, I will remove them and see what I think.

I like the second. Seems to convey a large expanse better.

Another vote for the 3rd one. As I looked at each one they got better and better. Great job.
