Default Ok, I used a "real" camera this time...

So I have been posting a lot of iPhone shots lately. Just so proud to be getting some interesting shots using some of the cool apps. I think I may have irritated some folks!

Anyway, I do have a "real" camera and I do use it. What do you think of these from my trip to the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden this past Saturday?

The first image isn't very interesting. Maybe if you'd done a little more with the DOF it could have been a little more catchy?

The second image is confusing. I don't think there's enough focus on the window to really provide the effect you're shooting for. It looks too much like a blurry window.

I like the third image alot. The reflection of the lily in the water and the way the plants trail off the screen really make it an interesting image.

Hm, thank you for the comments, and to think that I thought I did pretty well. Guess not.

The third shot is my favorite. I like the reflection, the colors of the flower against the green leaves and the repeating pattern of the leaves.

Since this isnt the critique section I cannot offer any suggestions. But it sure looks like you had some fun!

Let me refer you to the rules for starters. This is the section for showing off your best shots. There are sperate sections set up for different reasons. Critique, SYS, technique etc

Veronica, you have got a real winner in that water lily shot...that dark water provides a great contrast to the green leaves and you even managed to get a nice reflection of the lily on the water. keep shooting and posting!

Thank you all, I feel better now after that scathing first comment. I purposely stay away from the Critique My Shot section, my skin is not thick enough since this is a very new hobby for me. I only just started in April.

Thanks to all of you who have offered encouragement, I love DPS!
