Default Hawk and Sparrow

My first backyard of a Hawk, I believe it is a Red Shouldered Hawk. He was about 40 yards away, sitting up in the tree there, I waited till he flew away hoping a ray of sun would come thru, ahh well, you understand, just didn't happen, plenty of sun just not there. He or she sat up in that tree for over 45 minutes, the longest sitting bird I have had the pleasure of sharing an afternoon with. If I am lucky he will hang around for a bit, sorry for my little buddies at the feeders he had his eye on!

Same guy, maybe since it was a long shot with a 400L +2x +1.4x the focus just wasn't spot on, lots of shadows
Hawk (6 of 69)-150
One of the little guys the big guy was checking out... It's Sunday and I will take a bath whether I need it or not!

Great shots. Even though the second hawk picture isn't sharp focus it is still pretty good. I really like the little bird bathing, very cute. I have been trying to take bird pictures myself but don't have the telephoto lens to accomplish it. Thanks for sharing

WoW to have them so close to you - well captured. I like the 3rd one having a bath. Cheers, Bernz

Very nice... Are you sure those are real? You must've dressed up in a bird costume to get that close.
