Default Crawford Lake

This is part of Conservation Halton's chain of parks we get to enjoy in our neighbourhood .. This area has been studied extensively and has significant artifacts of The First Nation's indigenous people, and from what I understand spoke/are Iroquois (pardon my ignorance if incorrect in some fashion .. no offense meant & please correct me) .. The lake itself is unique, and is protected in all ways with a cool boardwalk all around the perimeter (wheelchair accessible - nice for everyone!)

The lake itself

A frame of a Long House erected in the area of the original settlement (I think it's accurate to scale and design)

long house frame

I've read that many of the cedar growing in the rock along the escarpment are 300-400 years old, that may have once put this pup in a Native's eyes from this very spot!

where there's a will

And this is when I realize that the colour is really on the way

ugh
