Talking More fun with a wide angle lens

My friend let me borrow his wonderful 17-40 F4L this weekend so I could create some images for the Barclay Gallery here in Ann Arbor. I would say wide angle lens are probably my favorite lens to use, I can't wait to buy one but I'll be going for the 17mm Tilt Shift that just came out.

Wow, I love how you captured the colours and textures so well together in all of these and the images are so sharp and clear, also you have some great angles adding to the interest of these amazing photographs. That surely is a great lens Murtasma. Excellent work.

Dave.

Thanks Jake!

I was very impressed with control of Chromatic Aberrations on this lens. It's a shame they don't make a L series lens for the Canon crop bodies that is wide that has good Chromatic Aberration control. I tried the 10-22 out and it's a really nice lens but I think it's little over priced considering this lens is about the same price. The 10-22 can't compare to this lens, I'm very happy I got a full frame body for wide angle shots it makes a world of difference. The Chromatic Aberrations where pretty bad on that lens. People tend to use wide angle lens for buildings where there are sharp and defined areas of changing contrast, controlling Chromatic Aberrations is pretty important, at least in my book.

Hopefully some people buy the images so I can continue to get new gear.
