Default My first Official Unofficial Wedding :)

So I attended my Friends Wedding over the weekend, I took 753 Photos Saturday. Although I was not the Official Wedding Photographer, I am making a 5X7 Book for my friends for a Wedding present.

I did my Homework, went to the Rehearsal Dinner (my GF was in the wedding so I had to be there anyways lol).

I went in to the whole thing with zero expectations, and as I edit through the results, I honestly exceeded far beyond my own expectations.

So I realized at the end of the day, talking with the real Wedding Photographer, I could have shot this Wedding. The Wedding Photographer was asking me what resolution the images needed to be at to print (?) so I gave him a quick recap on dpi and pixels (I'm thinking, seriously?) Then I asked him if he shoots in Manual or AP, he then proceeded to tell me he doesn't know how to shoot Manual and uses Portrait mode (?lol?). So I asked him if he shoots in Raw or JPEG, he didn't even know what I was talking about, let alone what he was shooting in (now I'm like, you get paid how much and you don't even know how to shoot in JPEG?lol). So what topped it all off, he actually confessed to me that he hoped my pictures didn't turn out better than his lol... Well it's too early to say, but I think they probably did. I also shot 750 + images in Raw, he shot 500 in JPEG do the Math.

So here are four shots and I'll add the Flickr link. I'd love some feedback since I never shot a Wedding before, hope you guy's like em

THANKS FOR LOOKING!

I love the fierce bridesmaid and flower girl!!

Lovely shots, with a lot of feeling behind the images!

Thanks!

That's her Mom, that flower Girl was the most photogenic out of everyone at the wedding lol.

I was really happy with the shots from those two, I can't wait to print some of them out and send it to them as a gift.

Really nice job. I have been asked to do two weddings this summer, and I turned down both because I have no prior experience. The more I think about it, though, I think I really should get into it, because it could be lucrative if I do it enough. And like you alluded to, there's probably a lot less experienced photographers out there who are making a good deal of money doing something I could do, so why not take the opportunity?

Don't let the Dust Spot on #2 fool you, out of 700 images I was bound to miss something. Unfortunately when I look at the picture it's all I see lol. Definitely have to fix that before I print them lol.

Default A New Venture on the Horizon?

Wow,
Great shots of the wedding. If there are more as good as these you've got quite a present for the bride and groom.
