The second shot is my favorite. Birds so seldom sit still enough for me to capture!

Raveen, the first is my favourite and you've done well to get the bird in focus while keeping a good DoF, good job

A cue bird, indeed. And a difficult one to catch also.
You've done well, my friend.

At first I was inclined for the second shot but due to the beautiful lighting and overall composition I go with the first.

I also would like to invite you to my set of house sparrows:

House Sparrows - a set on Flickr

I hope you like them.

I believe your camera was not supported well (tripod or monopod) a small pop up flash could have brought out out the eyes too !

Thank you Flavio... I saw them near a tea shop when we stopped there for relaxation... And when I finished these shots, I ran out of battery . They are so lucky that , getting appreciations for their poses here
hey I don't have access to open Flickr at office. I am so eager to see how you have captured your home sparrows. Surely I will look at them tonight at home..

My camera supported well as much as it can . It didn't give me enough time to set tripod adn all. It was sitting far away, so i was not able to use flash also...
Thank you for your suggestions.
