Hey guys! Was over at my friends house today and snapped some pics of her little girls. In these pictures they were waiting to go outside, standing patiently at the front door.
Does the angle work? I can't decide if they are good or not! I know it's selective but what do you guys/gals think? Any advice/opinons are very welcome! Thanks ![]()

Hmm. I can't decide. I can tell you definitely though, that I love big sisters hand on little sisters back and their sisterly gaze in your second photo. Those elements are so strong they override any thoughts about the angle.

Thank you so much pjflan. You are right...there is just too much space between them in the second one..and their bodies are really cut off. The first one includes their whole bodies and they are so much closer together. I guess that is why the angle of the first one works...but not the second. Thanks again for shedding some light

One more thought if I may. I just looked at the two photos and I notice that the diagonal shapes of the girls arms "push" against the direction of the frame. That tension seems to hold the photo in balance. In the second photo, the weight is not equally distributed so the angle doesn't work quite as well. I still love the expressions, though.

Really darling shot, reminds me of my sister and myself when we were little. Such a timeless quality to black and whites and children. Adorable.

Nice photos. In my opinion the angle suits the first one better, not sure why though. But the second one is much more powerful to me, because of their looks. And if I tilt my head to the left it looks better in normal orientation. Just my opinion of course.

i automatically turned my head to straighten out the pictures. I do like the exposure and how some of the detail fades into the world outside the window. It helps add to the image of the girls waiting for/looking for something outside and the window as a barrier to that.
