Default Ornamental Art?

A few photos of hood ornaments from the Langley car meet this weekend. I was intrigued to see myself in the reflections in a few of these ornaments, but to do this you would need to check out the larger versions on my Flickr account. Crazy!

Nice! It's so hard to avoid getting yourself or other vehicles/people in car show shots. They polish those things up to a mirror shine.

The top image is my favorite, I love the clean reflection of the ornaments here. Very nicely done.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was getting near the end of my time allotment for this show, and I had totally forgotten about taking some shots of details. I was happy with these shots and the pp work I had done. Cheers!

Fabulous. A wonderful tribute to an era of rolling art and chrome was one the mediums. Regarding the third photo--it comes with music you are probably to young to know about. Here's a walk down memory lane. Alas, some of us here are this old: YouTube - See the USA in Your Chevrolet - Dinah Shore 1952

Thanks Patrick. After looking at the first shot for a while I concluded that this ornament looked sort of like a Ford spaceship or submarine!

Loved the video, Lindy. I could totally relate to it, although it was a bit before my time, but I actually grew up with B&W television as well, and you are right that some of us are getting a little old, including me!
