Default Kricket smash, Simple Flower, Bon Voyage

Was trying to get the ball on the bat moment , the pitcher does a windmill wind-up and the swing is kricket is different then baseball ( Not that I could shoot baseball pitching/batting either ) but I am more familar with the baseball pitch.. took me a while

these guys LOVE thier sport as much or more then anyone I've ever seen, they didn't mind at all when I asked if I could practice , I told them I might make them famious !

A lone Flower from the Dalhia garden , this one shot stood out from the dozens I had taken today.

I guess the pink and yellow said " me me , pick me Vin " hee hee

And my visit to the park answers the question I have been wondering the last few weeks, when will the Osprey fly south.. well there were none around today and one of the guys I've become friendly with who works there said they havn;t been seen since the last storm.

So until next spring I say goodbye to my favorite subjects, this fellow was born this year.( photo is from a few weeks ago ). he's big and strong enough to make the trip south for the winter .. in 2 years he will return as an adult and look for a mate. Perhaps I will take his photograph again .. it was a good run this year and next year I am going to be so much better capturing them.. I know them well now. ! It's not sad, cause they will be back in 6 months !!

never did get my " shot of one catching a fish " ..I got close, but no cigar ..maybe next year perhaps !!

Was a good day at the park, as always thanks for taking a look

You've posted something for everyone. Given that I don't like sports that require a ball, I still like the first because of the stop action/sense of movement. How do those two go together? Somehow they do. The Dalia made me put my hand over my heart and say "Oh, my!" Ospreys migrate? Where do they go? I never noticed the diamond pattern on their breast before. That's lovely and just a great shot--catch lights in the eyes and all!

Excellent shots my friend. Quite a variety too. From sports action to birds. Great work buddy.

Beautiful shots, Vin. I'm especially fond of the flower photo.

The flower is beautiful. I love the colors. But, I think the bird is awesome. You captured him perfectly.

Hi Vin, great set, the osprey is excellent, you captured so much detail in that shot. A correction though from a cricket lover, its with a "C" and not a "K" and you did a decent job of bat hitting ball, and he's called a bowler not a pitcher. Other than that thanks for the post and sharing this wonderful sport with all at DPS.

Hi Vin, I have been in out of DPS for a while. I have been missing your posts. These are nice. I love the action in the first one and the flower is so pretty. I have not seen one like that. Lovely colors. Of course I love the Osprey, they will be missed here on DPS as well. I look forward to their return and you getting "the shot" next year. Take care my friend.

I dont like cricket oh no, I love it
Dont you walk thru my words, you got to show some respect
Dont you walk thru my words `cause you aint heard me out yet

But I do like cricket, and the first picture its great, baseball indeed, I thought the purpose of a pitcher was to contain iced orange juice.
The lone flower amongst flowers is certainly a thing of beatuy Vin, and we finish with a magnificent hunting bird, so big and so strong it would be a mistake not to show this one respect

Hahahha I have to laugh at your description of cricket!!! so funny. It is by the way a great capture and you froze the action to perfection. The flower is gorgeous with lovely colours and DoF and I am so glad that you posted the Osprey and what a magnificant capture it is too and a fitting end to the Osprey series. A really great post Bud and thank you for the cricket humour. If your ever over here, we can go to a cricket match and you can have some fun.

Dave.
