Default Some macro shots from a new macro lens.......

Life and death, these insects were less than 0.5 cm, I couldn't even see the smaller one with the naked eye. I was surprised when I viewed this on the larger screen.

Life and death

Is that water or did I grow a tail? (A ladybug thought)

The lady bug

A bee shot at last.

A bumble bee

This fella inspired the golf ball idea.

Beetle

Still have a lot to learn about this lens, only had it two days now, but I am really enjoying the potential it offers. Hope you enjoy viewing.

Very nice! I like the water droplet on the ladybug's back. Nice work!

Thanks for the wonderful comment, it was a Sigma 105mm F2.8 macro lens. A friend on DPS recommended it to me and now you know as well.

Thes are Spectacular Michael! That 1st one is amazing. All are well focused and very well composed. Congratulations on the new lens. It's a really special lens and with your 5D mark II should provide many stunning photos. Did you use a tripod or mono pod?
Thanks for sharing these
Michael.
