Default Sorry - Missed my 500th.

Well been so busy on here just lately (which has been keeping me sane) that I never realised till just now that I had passed my 500th thread. Have to say I have learnt so much and tried to help others with the little knowledge I have that time has flown here. So just to say a very big
"Thank You" to all those who have either kept in contact or commented on my work I post this gift to you all.
Many Thanks, heres to many more....
David

Thank you Hayward, as usual your words are warming and kind.
This is just an ordinary fushia in my back garden, still flowering strongly so summer is not over quite just yet.
Once again my friend - Thank you.
David.

Great color combo! Pink and purple...my 6-year old daughter's in love with it.

I gather from your avatar, you're a plane driver, too? What do/did you fly?

Thanks for your kind comments folks,
For your info, I served for 21 years in The Royal Air Force and worked on and with Harriers, Chinooks, Tornado's so been around a bit and seen some stuff. I do how ever still look up whenever I hear an aero engine up there

David.

How could you not look up?? Impressive career! I'm still just a 172 driver, but have had the good fortune to fly the P-51D for an hour!!

Well I had the honor of working on a genuine original Mk 5 Spitfire when I was stationed over in Germany in the 1980's, funny thing was when it flew over the base and the local village you could see all the older local German folks looking up as they knew the noise of that merlin engine for sure. Still gives me goosebumps now thinking about it. Only ever got to fly in the 2 seat Jaguar (Fighter - Bomber), Puma, Chinook, C130 Hercules, Nimrod, VC10,
So I have seen some stuff and smelt my fair share of burning jet fuel (which I Still love )
Good Memories.

David.

David, I know you don't post as often as you would like, but I also know the majority of your posts have been made praising and supporting others, well done mate and congratulations on the big 500
