Default Not another water crown!!! But wait...

Hopefully, not too anti-climactic. I've done water on water to get some good drops, but grew bored with it. I wanted to try something different. After a couple smooth Crown Royals down the gullet, I started adding food coloring...it made for some interesting shots. I thought I'd share one. I'll be getting more creative with them this weekend and will post them.

This was just shooting from the hip. The focus is off on the top-most drop. This was actually the first shot of the series, but was the best of the lot. Thanks for looking.

Default Try some Rown Croyal! It'll help! :)

LOL. Seriously, though, it is fun! Get a bowl, fill it up to the rim. Place a chopstick (or similar) across the top to focus manually, then remove it. Set your camera to 1/1000th or faster with a flash, and make your drop land where you had your focus reference. Keep trying! Post your results... Don't give up.

Default ...another water drop

Here's another water shot. I thought it was quite the color combination. If anyone can offer suggestions on how to better capture these, please share. Thanks.

Hey equilution, the second shot is awesome but as you asked, please check the DPS assignments sweet tooth the winner posted a how I did it that was very helpful. Haven't tried it yet, but I thought his explanation was very clear. Look it up, it may help, but you did a great job as is.

I shot these wide open, which contributed to the shallow DOF. I'm going to try and stop it down to 8 or 11 to see if I can improve it a bit. Thanks for the kind words.
