Hi Josh and welcome to the site, I hope you enjoy your time here,
Now then. I think this image just goes to show how much light pollution there is out there, I take it this is a busy city port side and you can tell so just by the amount of industrial lighting there is. BUT I like it, if it were mine I might have cropped it on the right hand side just beside the tower at the top and maybe some of the sky and try to give the work area more detail that way. I really think this works so well in black and white, you should be happy with this image as it's really good. Well done. Thanks for sharing it ![]() David.

A very good idea but toooo much light.....reducing exposure would help a lot.....
A recommendation: If you are using Lightroom then adjust fill light instead of exposure to get a softer light. Good Job though

Thanks guys, appreciate the input.
harry, I can see what your saying, would probably have a little more symmetry that way as well. Kaze, I took several other shots with a lower exposure and while I liked them (there is one of the space needle that looks very good imo) they never really stood out to me as much as this one does. Something about the level of brightness is what draws me I think. space needle shot ![]() Nikon D60 on a tripod Nikon 18mm-135mm 135mm f/7.1 20 second exposure ISO 100 |
