Default Funeral pictures part1

Got an assignment to cover the funeral services for Arthur Steele. Steele was a fixture in Kingston, Wa., when it was a much smaller, different place. For decades he worked at the ticket booth, and got to know just about everyone in town. He died recently, and his funeral had a memorable tribute - he was taken to the cemetery in a horse-drawn carriage. As you can see, it made for some pretty good pictures.

Yea....took about 50 minutes to go a few miles. So, I was able to get a variety of procession shots from different vantage points along the road. I had cars passing the procession, but when I saw the cyclists I knew I had the shot.

He worked the ticket booth? I will have to read into the story but he must have touched the lives of people in a pretty amazing way to have received funeral honors like this, including your great photos. These will be photos for his family to treasure.

Is that his widow in the last series? Very sweet/sad shot. Lovely tribute to him.

lindyannajones - Yes, he worked the ticket book. before they had ticket booths, he wore an apron like thingie to hold the bills, a coin changer around his waist and tore tickets off a roll.
Really amazing man.
mymaison97 - yes, it is his wife.

I agree with mymaison, the shot of the flag presentation is very good. Your getting pretty good at this picture taking thing.
