Hi potterm thankyou for commenting. You know these colleges have lots of areas where the tourists dont go or dont even see or take any notice of. Cloisters are often quite peaceful places and have great potential to capture light and shade,i could have sat there all day watching the changing light. They are good place to have a quick nap too lol!!
thanks
mike

Hi mikez
It was a very bright day the stones of the auditoreum were very light coloured and made everything seem flat, The shadows got my attention as they stood out so starkly on the steps giving a floating effect. I spotted this in my viewfinder -and it worked after a bit of post editing of course.
thanks for commenting

thanks pj your comments are always appreciated. There are some rare sights on Oxford thats what i look for, the unusual, and places that go unnoticed. That doesnt mean i disregard the incredible archtecture as it is truly breathtaking, the old and the new. I will be out again today at All Souls college and Manchester college mmmm what lies in wait i wonder??
thnakyou for commenting
mike.

Hello Dan
and thanks for you comments, am i good?? reckon i might be good at finding them but right now i am trying to get as close as i can to film b/w -thers something missing and cant put my finger on it, i am sure it will come.
The stairs i am pleased with i saw what was happening before i took the photo. Best shot for me of the day which is ironic really as there is some incredible building to capture,
cheers mike

Very creative use of the curves and lines MIke and good that you chose black and white. I think my favourite is the stairs one, I love the zig zag lines in that one. Also the MG is excellent. This is great work MIke. You always find interesting subjects.

Dave.
