You certainly don't suffer alone! Nor did your photo suffer from the lack of a tripod (although that was lesson #1 at my recent workshop--tripod, tripod, tripod). Oh well, next time. The distant mountains have a dream-like quality because the texture of these are so different from multi-faceted textures in your foreground. That is a very nice effect. I love, too, the variety of blues from the Robin Egg blue of the sky to the Ultramarine of the shoreline. It's an "Ahhhhhhh" photo. Very restful.
