I shot some portraits of my friend Ingrid a few months ago (one of which one me a blue ribbon at the local county fair). One of the shots we both remarked looked like a Mona Lisa pose. So I decided to merge her face with an image of the real Mona Lisa. In order are the photo of my friend, the image of the Mona Lisa, and the mashup with my friends face. The hard part was getting things to look like the original texture and patina of the original. I'm still working on this but I'm happy with the initial results. Also, I only did this playing around with Photoshop to see if I could do it. Would love to hear DPS comments.

ok, I giggled, or rather actually lol'd. There might have been a snort at the start but I'll never confess to it.

I agree. It's sorta funny to do a mashup like this. But I do remember when Ingrid and I did the original shoot that we saw the photo of her and our response was that it looked like the Mona Lisa. So I just had to play around with it.

Well, it's really different for me to Photoshop a shot vs. just taking a shot with just basic processing. Did it as a project in stretching myself with Photoshop. I'm not likely to be someone who depends on PS to make great photos. I'd rather do it with the camera. But because of our reactions to the original photo I had to take a shot at doing this.

Nice portrait of your friend to start with and the work you did to transform it is amazing. Wow, that is so good. Well done Rusty. I hope she was pleased with it after all the hared work.
Dave.

I won't know until she gets back from a trip in Europe. AFAIK she doesn't even know about this mashup. But I'm sure she will get a good laugh out of it.
