Yeah, the second and third are blue ribbon material. Really nice shots there!

Vin, I love that 2nd one because of the contrast of the background and of course for the same reason....I really like your last shot with that pure black background......nothing like it to make the flower shout "look at me!" Glad you have gotten few....go to a nursery or a home improvement cnter like Lowes (where I work) to get more shots on a rainy day...nobody will be shopping the nursery and you will have a lot to shoot......nobody will care if you are taking pictures...I do it all the time!

Vin, Your curiosity and broad interests serve you well...and us, too. From Osprey to Dalias is quite the diversity of interests. These flowers are just great--technically good--and just plain beautiful. I love the pinwheel shape of the first and the vibrant pink of the last. Lovely!

thanks Patrick .. I get a little bored with natural look,, so I " experiment " ,, it's fun and I always learn a few things.. I was manager and ran 3 departments in Hm Dep for 9 yrs, then went back to the window and door company I left.. I like Lowes alot better . I'd probably get arrested here in NY if I brought a camera in a store lol !!..but they are good suggestions.

thanks Lin .. The " color wheel " just spins round and round when I was shooting these, I've shot flowers a few times.. but I guess I see them a little more as a photo now..It appears an easy shot .. but there's more then meets the eye.. I was laying on my back for some and people were staring at me !! .. I think I can do them better .. I need a good short range lense, my teles give me nice dof .. but I suffer with the angle of view curse.

thanks for you kind comments everyone

Vin
