Hi Jake,
And "Welcome" to a great site, I hope you enjoy your time here. Now then your images, First one is interesting I really like your idea but, your main subject is just too central so I would crop its so that the tower is lower to the right hand side which would make it even more interesting. I like the lighting and sharpness of it but just needs refining, Second image is cool, really have lots going on for the eye to follow around the image. I would love to know more about it and what was happening? It looks like some from of street artist? Anyway I look forward to seeing more and I really hope you have fun here.

Hi David. Thanks for the comments and suggestion. The fireworks shot was indeed a street performer twirling and 7 foot baton loaded with some form of fireworks.
