Default Pyrocumulus Above Mt. Wilson, CA

This was shot with an Olympus E-500, Auto mode, at about 6:30 pm on August 30,1909, with a 40-150mm zoom at full extension using a polarizing filter, then enhanced contrast. This was during the massive Station Fire in the San Gabriel Mountains.

Thats a perfect example of right time right place kinda thing... If you shot a few seconds later that would have been a totally different shot, well done!

Default Excellent

Very nice, did you have to bracket extensively to balance the sky with the cloud textures or was the polorizer enough of a reduction for the blue sky itself? -Jenny

Default Pyrocu

The filter was the start, then I played with the contrast.
