Default These barns are nicer than your houses

The fog was just evaporating into gray clouds so the skies are not so complementary. But the first 2 shots are of Calumet Farm where many Derby winners were bred in years past........today it is owned by an Australian news mogul unless he sold it......the last two are of a barn on a farm next to Keeneland Race Track. Note the "a", it is the largest barn, but not the only barn on this property. The horse stalls are generally tongue and groove planking nicely polyurethaned. They are washed down daily.....no cobwebs etc......some of these barns have a 2000 sq ft home that quarters the farm manager, often above the horse quarters.......It is hard to appreciate the scale and the beauty inside of some of these places. Hope you enjoy the insanity of treating horses as kings.

This could be why the horses in your previous post looked pee'd off, they ddidn't have accomodation here.
And what a great place here is , Calumet Farm and a barn next to Keeneland Race Track, magnificent buildings set up like fairytail locations and I'd love to have the cash to demonstrate such madness. Good post Patrick

ahhhhh great pics the first two are gorgeous, great color. I'd love to visit some of the famous farms one day. We have one of our big dog trials at the Kentucky Horse park, in May, and I hope to go next year. Mybe I'll be able to get some good shots like these! ;-)

Incredible!! These look more like mansions than barns. Which one do you live in??

It's amazing at the amount of money in these places. And so well maintained.
