A quick shot in the back garden with no time to set the camera.

What a fantastic picture, great colours, focus and DoF, its great Bill, it also shows how comfortable and competent you are setting up and taking pictures with little or no preparation.

The starling must be happy you took the time to fill the feeder .. great capture for a quick shot .. look how the bird's feathers on the back mimic the colour of the feed ..

thats a much more attractive starling than the ones I see in my yard, and never nicely at the feeder like that. Well done.

Thanks Jack, I don`t really know birds but this one comes around quite a lot but usually flies away before I get the chance to take a picture
