Trying to see if converting to b&w can make boring shots more interesting.
![]() ![]() I have another version of this one done in sepia with lots of noise, just don't have it online right now. ![]() broke a big rule here, a diagonal that enters and exits the frame, but I think it works in square format. and I did make sure it wasn't a corner to corner cut.

These shots are very good and not boring at all. I really like the perspective in the first and third shots. Very well done and thanks for sharing.

the first three shots are pretty good but when i got to the last one it was just like WOAH, the perspective and composition of the last one really make it pop out nice shots

Very nice! I try B/W conversion on many of my shots. The best ones I've had were what I thought to be the least likely candidates. The proof is in the pudding.
Nice perspectives!

thanks everyone for your kind input, my favorite is the last one. but I'm not sure why. I agree it's hard to tell what will look good in b&w until you try.
thanks for looking.

I love B&W shots. It brings out so much detail that otherwise goes unnoticed in color.

hi nice b/ws
its the last one for me too!! i play with black and white a lot and its good to get away from colour.B/w highlights and brings out some great detail and even in some cases more dramatic effects. Play around in photo shop if you have it convert to greyscale and play with this bridge sliders in camera raw its great fun thanks for sharing mike ps check out what i mean in my albums on here

thanks for looking folks
I'm learning that often you can't tell which photos will look better in b&w until you try it, and see how it effects the capture. I also find that it can be hard to see your shots in a positive way sometimes. they just don't come out as you had "envisioned" the moment, so I tend to "meh" alot of shots. diz, I've had a few people compliment the last shot. I know I like it, but I don't know why exactly. I haven't checked out any albums on dps yet(didn't know there were any), I will have to find'em and take a look for sure.
