Default This addiction has opened my eyes to the wonderful world around me

My Grandparents lived around the corner from this old stone cottage for years and yet I don't recall ever seeing it until yesterday. It amazes me at how many wonderful things I am now seeing that I never saw before I became addicted to photography and DPS

Old stone cottage

My favourite topic to photograph, my cat Chevy.

Chevy my cat

Angela - how could you have missed that - fabulous shots of both the cottage and Chey.

You are going to be busy with that new camera, I can see. I am off to Auckland for the weekend and hope to get out to find things I haven't seen before. Cheers, Bernz

How charming is that fairytail cottage, it could almost be a gingerbread cottage to go with Chevy the gingerbread cat.
These are excellent pictures Angelb.
I think you're enjoying your camera and yes, the world is indeed a wonderful place

Hi Angela, isn't it amazing the way photography opens your eyes to the world around us ? I have found that so true also. You notice things that you just took for granted, like this wonderful stone cottage.
Your images are wonderful and so beautifully presented. Chevy is a real cutie. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to seeing many more.

Hi Bernz, I guess my photography eyes haven't developed until recently, but I'm sure glad I have seen it now. It is a real charmer. I can't wait to see your photos from Auckland. PS: watch out for the crazy traffic.

Thanks Beach, my camera is permanately in my hands and if it weren't for me taking photos of him I'm sure Chevy would be jealous of my new best friend.

Thanks toyvlle, photography has changed the way I look at everything. Landscape scenery is now broken down into individual photos instead of one large scene that I would normally just think to myself 'that's nice' and carry on without a further thought to what I had just seen.

Thank you for your kind encouraging words, I have seriously been into photography since I was told about DPS June/July this year. The encouraging comments I receive here from so many wonderful friends has helped me build my confidence and knowledge in taking photos.
