Default Stone Arch Bridge on the Mississippi

I was killing some time with the kids before picking Mom up from work. We explored the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis, MN. I think I read this is the only stone arch bridge on the Mississippi river.

There's a lock and dam next to it, and a couple boats passed though, which was exciting for the kids to see.

More shots of the bridge and the lock and dam In My Gallery. I hope to get back here at night sometime, the bridge arches are lit up, and from the east bank the downtown skyline can be seen beyond the bridge.

My daughter looking over the rail.

Thanks for looking and your comments. It is a pretty cool bridge. It's one of those places I hope to visit again and again to discover new possibilites, learning along the way.

I like the perspective on your third shot with the way you captured the arches. Nice work.

Thanks for your comments. I like the third one too. Your positive comments made me take a long look at it, I may have to try a version with some of the non-essential elements cloned out.

Maybe a little crop and some subtle HDR?
