Default Venus, Serena, Nadal, and Monfils

I was watching the Nadal v Monfils match and thought I would post some of the shots I got this weekend at the US Open. Entire set: 2009 US Open Tennis

I've been taking pics of tennis for a while now, and have been trying to get a shot like this since the beginning, but never got this lucky:

Just looked at the set. Really incredible. I especially like the one of Monfils gesturing with his hands to suggest a show was inches away. I also really like the layout of your site.

Awesome capture on the last shot. I've tried to get the same shot 100 times but to no avail. How did you get so lucky as to get to shoot the US Open?

HA! Your question makes me laugh. I never really "get" to shoot the Open. But I do attend every year. For the past 12 years. A bit of a fulfillment of a childhood dream. And after so many years, I kinda know how to get relatively close to the action (except on Arthur Ashe Stadium...no mystery there, just good fortune or lots of cash required). I am going to keep trying to get a better point-of-contact capture. Eventually, right?

Regardless, you do well with being in the seats then. Your website is great, too. Just got done looking through the 365. A lot of great captures.
