I recently recieved a tip from one of our well respected more advanced members to explore and learn about combining multiple shots to enhance certain types of shots. So late last night I read a bit and watched a few tutorials ( it's amazing what's available on utube) .. and thought I would out a few shots together using the HDR process.
I visited the Dalhia garden ( cause I'm addicted to them right now ) brought my tripod and all my gear .. setting the camera to AP priorty and letting the camera adjust shutter speed , I set to continous shooting WB-bracket -3,0,+3 and using the remote it would shoot 3 wide bracketed shots, .. it was a a little windy.. but they came out pretty good and it was great set-up and post practice ![]() ![]() ![]() yes, that's a pair of ants on the upper right pedal I really just used the process to enhance the contrast and color tones.. just wanted it to look natural. other then cropping and framing, they are just HDR tone mapped -Natural preset.. easy peasey ( except for having to clone out the photomatrix logo off them ) I'm sure now that I know how it's done, I'll be playing around .. it's actually pretty easy to do .. and a good stuff to know.. with restraint it really makes certain photos pop and looks like it might be dangerous when i'm bored and it's raining outside ! thanks for viewing

Oh Yea, I'm liking these Vin! I have Photomatrix, but havn't played around with it much, when I have, I seem to get carried away. Perhaps I'll try again and not be so aggressive.
I really like the 1st 2 shots you've done here. Very nice backgrounds and great colors. Thanks for sharing these Michael.

Hi Vin, these are beautiful shots. I really love the 2nd shot a lot. I too am interested in HDR and just recently saw it used in all types of shots, simply to enhance the colors. The shots still looked very realistic, it simply helped the colors pop. You did a beautiful job with these shots. Looking forward to many more, rainy days are coming.

Vin these are great photos, the flowers just pop out and the DOF is perfect. Is it the HDR effect that makes the flowers pop out?
Michael
