Default Creepy Crawlers

Sadly the flowers are not so abundant in the yard right now. So I had to settle for bugs again. There were so many dragons around today that I couldn't resist. Of course, none came out the way I wanted them to, so I did a lot of PP work on them and got something I can live with until the pocketbook decides it is time for the real macro lens.

I had never seen a blonde caterpillar before ...

This guy flew into the flower I was focusing on. Loved how his colors are just about the same as the ones in the daisy
yellow bee

Both of the dragons look better bigger if anyone cares to wander over to Flickr

Speaking as a blond (well speaking as an assisted blond), I love your caterpillar. We must use the same hairdresser--though she's a natural blond, I'm sure. The bee is just great! So sharply focused. The dragonflies may try to illude you but you are a woman on a mission! Well done!

The caterpillar shot is awesome as are the dragonfly shots. Well done, waiting to see what the macro lens will do when it comes along.

Thanks. That caterpillar was so pretty. I was tempted to keep him just to see what he would morph into. But I let him go.

Those dragons are such a pain in my arse. I was outside most of the day and don't you know that when I didn't have a camera near me there would be 7 or 8 of them flitting around. As soon as I had my camera they all disappeared. Finally I saw several of them perched, grabbed the gear and plopped down. Got a few shots off before they flew away.

Teedles, love the blonde, love the flying insect with colour style and I think the dragon flies look great but I know exactly how you feel. We are coming into spring here and the garden is alive with insects and all sorts of things that sting and I have been out there everyday shooting away but when I come inside and look at them on the computer I am disappointed. In fact yesterday I hit the delete button so I could start again. I would also cherish a true macro.
