Default Zen rocks

While visiting the Oregon coast, I came upon a stream that was running into the ocean. Apparently, someone was having a Zen moment and stacked these rocks in a Zen-like fashion. I increased contrast and sharpness a little bit. I tried in B/W, but the colors of the rocks, I think, make this photo. Thoughts?

Fantastic colours and quite a nice overall image. I think I would've tried to get the rocks lining up from corner to corner for maximum effect.

Keeping the image in color definately lends itself well. I think black and white would have made the image a little bland and pedestrian. The colors of the rocks really make this image pop.

Hi there,
just wanted to say I really like your image, love the colors and lighting in it. I think it would have been and even more cracking image if you had gotten a little lower and followed the curve of the rocks through your image from one side to the other. But thats just me, always looking for something different, nice job and thanks for sharing it with us.
David

Default Zen Rocks...part Deux!

Thanks for the tip. I did find another shot, composed as you said. Much better. Thanks for pointing that out!

Thanks. I definitely like the shallow depth and composition of the second one, too.

I agree with you on the colors. This would definitely not look as good in b/w. A great shot...a nice find.
