Default A couple of sunsets from my trip to Bavaria

Below a couple of the sunsets I managed to take during my holiday to Bavaria / Southern Germany. The first is a 20 sec exposure at f/22 - I used an ND filter to slow down the shutter speed enough (hoping to get a milky effect on the water). The sun had pretty much set to the right of the camera.

The second was the following day, a snap of a couple motoring their yacht back to the key at sunset.

Thanks for looking.
Martin

I like the first shot, but that second shot puts me in awe. That is such a stunning shot...the colors are fabulous. Really lovely.

Thanks Leano. Ironically I had to work far harder for the first one - tripod, filters etc etc., whereas the second was a hand-held grab shot. I guess like them both but for different reasons...

Martin.

Wow, beautiful images Martin! The first one is so calm and full of mistique. The colours in the second one are so warm, I can almost feel the warmth in this cold night.

The second has wonderful colours, but the first really impresses. The graduation of colour is great. Enjoyed both.

Thanks milosh. Yes it's a shame that summer is coming to an end at last. I'm hoping for an Indian one at the end of September...

Thanks very much douglas. Yes the first is much more subtle, and doesn't do itself justice unless you look at it large. Nature really puts on a fine display doesn't it...

Both are absolutely gorgeous shots. The first one is lovely and tranquil, the second is deep and vibrant in colour.
