A different side of Chicago

My wife and I spent a few days in Chicago recently. Since the grandparents had the kids, we had some time to walk around and enjoy the city. Here are a few photos I found along the way. For a larger image and description, feel free to click through to flickr.

Most of these are sea food. The top row is shark fins. The second is dried Abalone which sold for $998 USD / lb! I am not sure what all the others are. I know some are scallops. Needless to say, we didn't stick around for too long. :-)

Boy there are a lot of great series posted here , and yours is definitely one of them. I really enjoyed the different perspectives in each shot. This is something I need to start working on. I also like tou pp treatments. Nicely done.

Thanks. I am glad you like the PP. My camera is a Canon S5, basically a point an shoot. I continue to run into limitations, but can't afford to upgrade to a DSLR. I have decided to make the best of it and work on my processing skills. I am not where I want to be, but I am getting better. I am hoping things will only improve once I can upgrade my hardware.
